One of the world's largest and most diverse stone reserves is located in Zimbabwe. Shona art, an art movement born from this diversity, takes its name from the Shona tribe and has a history of 1000 years.
According to Shona tribes' belief; The spirits of ancestors and gods continue to live in stones. Artists reveal these spirits when they carve stones.
TOGETHER FOREVER is a work made from Springstone, an African stone, by shona artist PHİLİP MULİMA in 2022.

Artist Biography
Born in Harare in 1978, he began sculpting in 1998 as an assistant to Jerald Takawira in the Ruwa area of Harare. In 2000, Philip moved to Hatfield with his mentor and set up a studio. Philip continued to work alongside his teacher. Over the years, he developed his own unique style that is accepted in the art community.
His works attract the attention of art collectors from all over the world, especially in Europe, China and America.
Focusing on high values such as human relations, love, and passion, the artist draws attention to the high value that a life built together will add to people and the high quality it will add to lives. The work titled Together Forever is a totem of these values.
